2026 Farm-to-Table Celebration

Calendar Art Contest

Our first calendar art contest made 2024 an award-winning year for Nelson-Jameson, so we decided to bring it back! For 2026, we want to celebrate the entire “farm-to-table” journey that our food can take, but we need your help.

Now through August 1st, we're inviting artists to showcase their original work exploring any facet of the journey from farm to table. We welcome all art forms that represent the process, such as farm art, depictions of the supply chain, or manufacturing, and beyond. Show a single step in the process, an artistic interpretation of a subject within a step (like farm fresh eggs), or a depiction of multiple steps. Share your talent and your unique perspective on the systems that bring us our food!

How to enter ‘2026 Farm-to-Table Celebration: Art Calendar Contest’

Take these steps to enter and to show your piece in the best light:

Step 1: Draw inspiration

We want you to bring to life the innovation, care, and hidden wonders of food manufacturing! Simply choose from one of our categories that represent the farm-to-table process and create an original piece of artwork with any instrument you choose such as drawings, paintings, collages, and photographs (excluding artificial intelligence-generated or enhanced art).

Step 2: Create your masterpiece

Bring your "Farm-to-Table" vision to life on your chosen canvas! Tips and things to consider:

  • Allow your art to reflect a specific season: Thinking seasonally will not only enhance the storytelling power of your piece but will also assist our judges in their mission to curate a visually stunning calendar filled with diverse and seasonally appropriate artwork that celebrates the entire year's journey from farm to table.
  • Help us tell the "Farm-to-Table" Story: Your art can capture any part of this incredible journey! Imagine the lifecycle: from the seeds being sown and cultivated on the farm, to the careful harvesting, the journey to market or local producers, the transformation in the kitchen, and finally, the joy of the table where food is shared.
  • Final calendar format: Winning artwork will be added to a standard wall calendar layout, which is 8.5x11 and landscape. While these dimensions are not required for final artwork, it may be helpful in determining your own composition.
Step 3: Submit your artwork

When submitting your artwork, take a high-resolution photo of the piece straight on, as the winning artwork will get printed in a standard wall-size calendar.

Please read the rules and understand that we plan to promote artwork throughout 2026. This campaign celebrates the food manufacturing industry and supply chain all year.

All winners will receive the 2026 calendar. The calendar will also be available for sale online, with all proceeds going to the Nelson-Jameson Foundation.
