Adam Nelson has served as Chairman of the Board at Nelson-Jameson since 2020, representing the fourth generation of family leadership at the Marshfield, WI-based distributor to the food manufacturing industry.
Nelson joined the company in 2005 and previously served as Vice President of Technology and Vice Chairman. He was instrumental in establishing the company’s IT Department, as well as its philosophy of using technology to improve process efficiency. Nelson has been a driving force in modernizing operations and enhancing customer service capabilities organization-wide. He has also been a member of the Customer Service, Purchasing, and Product Management teams in his time with the company.
Under Nelson's leadership, the Nelson-Jameson team has grown to more than 300 and now has five distribution centers across the country in Wisconsin, California, Texas, Idaho, and Pennsylvania.
Since Nelson was named Chairman, the company's commitment to excellence has been recognized with numerous accolades. In 2024 and 2025, Nelson-Jameson was designated a Great Place to Work Certified company. In 2023, under Nelson's leadership, Nelson-Jameson completed the acquisition of Sitzman Supply, LLC, a wholesale provider of process systems products. Also in 2023, Nelson guided the company’s release of its inaugural Corporate Responsibility Report, a pivotal moment in an ongoing journey of stewardship that the company has since expanded on.
Nelson has guided the company’s focus on supporting philanthropic organizations, demonstrating its core values as a Golden Rule Company. Nelson-Jameson continues to support charitable programs related to the food and dairy industries and charities that are important to Nelson-Jameson employees and their communities through the Nelson-Jameson Foundation.
Nelson’s motivation stems from his desire to continue his family’s legacy, using Nelson-Jameson as the vehicle through which he can positively impact the world, a tradition upheld by his great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents, and shared with his siblings.
He holds a BS degree in Economics and in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
