Amanda Nelson Sasse is Vice President of Philanthropy and Social Impact and President of the Nelson-Jameson Foundation. As a fourth-generation owner, her role is to be a steward of her family's legacy while ensuring the responsible growth of the company through servant leadership.
Nelson Sasse aims to expand the company's Golden Rule culture, supporting causes important to team members, supply chain partners, and the industry. Her day-to-day responsibilities include positively representing Nelson-Jameson and her family in interactions with team members, suppliers, customers, and communities. This often involves reading grant applications, meeting with charities and community members, and keeping a finger on the pulse of Nelson-Jameson.
Amanda Nelson Sasse has formally worked for Nelson-Jameson since 2009. She has held internal roles at Nelson-Jameson in Sales, Marketing, and Web Development. Throughout her career, Amanda has been an active contributor to both the company and the industry, having served on Nelson-Jameson's Board of Directors for almost 25 years. She was also the first woman to serve on FISA's Board of Directors. In terms of education and training, she holds a BA in Psychology and Business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has partially completed an MS in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University. She also completed the Center for Dairy Research's Cheese Short Course and attended the University of Innovative Distribution.
Outside of her roles, she is a member of P.E.O. educational philanthropy and serves as an executive board member of the North Shore Board of the Northwestern Settlement.
