Brad Kirchner is the Assistant Department Manager and Product Manager at Nelson-Jameson, where he oversees the process buyer and administrative roles while managing the gaskets and o-rings product lines. His responsibilities include handling pricing, answering inquiries from sales representatives, and acting as the back-up buyer for the process department. In his day-to-day work, Kirchner processes direct ship POs, reviews supplier price files to ensure accuracy, and works with administrators to improve response times for lead time requests. He also assists customers by working on bids and crosses to find better pricing and recently completed a Gasket UOM conversion project to clean up product descriptions and adjust sales quantities.
Kirchner has about 15 years of experience managing or working in the food and dairy industry. His first job in the industry was as a cheese cutter and in packaging. As a lifelong resident of Wisconsin, he was drawn to the industry by his love for dairy and enjoys the fast-paced environment and the opportunity to help others in times of need.
Among his accomplishments, Kirchner received a certificate of achievement for the WCMA Front-Line Leadership Series, presented at CheeseCon. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Herzing University, which he completed in just three years.
