Chris York is the Executive Sales Director-East at Nelson-Jameson, and drives the execution of sales strategy in collaboration with his team, internal specialists, and suppliers. His core function is to ensure that its sales team has all the necessary resources to deliver solutions to the company's core customers. He accomplishes this by communicating clearly what matters most to customers, analyzing market trends, and formulating strategies based on that information, which includes maintaining a clear line of sight to suppliers, new products, and logistical capabilities.
Chris has over 23 years of sales experience, including eight years in the food manufacturing industry. Before taking on his current role, he served in several positions, including Sales Account Manager, Key Account Representative, U.S. Channel Manager, and Southeast Sales Director. While he is currently located in Birmingham, Alabama, he has held responsibility for the Southeast, Midwest, and the entire country in varying roles. His first job in the dairy/food industry was as a U.S. Channel Manager for 3M Food Safety, which is now Neogen. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communications from the University of Georgia.
