As the Executive Vice President of Commercial Development at Nelson-Jameson, Dakonya Freis leverages more than 20 years of experience in distribution, specializing in the food and beverage industry, to drive growth and build lasting customer relationships. 

She strives to collaborate with both customers and supplier partners to build innovation and programs to support our mutual goals while maintaining a strong focus on developing relationships 

In her career, Freis has been honored with the Women in Supply Chain Award in 2023 for her innovative approach, exceptional leadership, and deep industry knowledge. She is a member of the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) NextGen Leadership Cohort 4. She is also a promoter of the Golden Rule values that Nelson-Jameson is known for, ensuring the company maintains the integrity of its nearly 80-year-old culture as it grows.

Freis has a passion for the dairy industry, having grown up on a family dairy farm that is still operated today.
