Erik Ohman is a Strategic Account Manager at Nelson-Jameson who manages the relationships between Nelson-Jameson and approximately 50 customers. His role involves regularly meeting with plant personnel to listen to their needs and experiences, identifying opportunities to grow business, and acting as the point person to manage the technical team's work in converting those opportunities. In his day-to-day work, Erik assists with quoting and creating orders, identifies customer pain points to provide solutions, and maintains strong interpersonal relationships to retain customer trust.
Erik’s professional background includes roles as a Sales Specialist and Territory Business Manager, an Account Manager, and a Research Assistant at Oregon State University. His first job in the industry was as a plant operator at a cheese processor during the summer before college, and he continued to intern with food businesses through graduate school.
Among his accomplishments, Mr. Ohman was the first author of three published academic papers and received an exemplary distinction for his graduate thesis. Erik holds a B.S. in Microbiology with certificates in Ag Business Management and Food Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an M.S. in Food Science from Oregon State University.
