Joni Kinney is the MRO Department Manager at Nelson-Jameson. She helps ensure customers receive the right products at competitive prices while supporting the company's long-term growth and operational efficiency. Kinney is deeply focused on category management, inventory, and supplier strategy, motivated by her goal to be an advocate for safe, reliable, and consistent food sources within the community and beyond. Her approach is strategic: she ensures Nelson-Jameson stocks the correct products by diligently analyzing suppliers, scrutinizing quality controls, and aligning inventory strategies to support local availability without unnecessary waste.
In her day-to-day functions, Joni actively analyzes market data to ensure alignment with best practices, manages supplier relationships for optimal selection, maintains effective pricing, and monitors inventory to ensure products are available at the right times. Her professional background includes roles outside of Nelson-Jameson, such as Director of Marketing, Pricing, Quoting and Customer Service, and Product Marketing Manager, as well as AVP, and Service Desk Support Manager.
Kinney holds a BS in Sociology from Winona State University and certifications including the HDI Team Lead Certification, Mindset Life Coach Certification, and Project Management Essentials Certified.
