Mike Rindy serves as the President of Nelson-Jameson, where he is responsible for the strategic vision for both Nelson-Jameson and Next Logistics. Mike is focused on people’s development, acting as a mentor and chief inspiration officer for the organization. Named president of the company in 2020, Mike oversees all operations driving growth and ensuring that the company's inventory management practices align with its overall mission. His leadership is characterized by a relentless pursuit of excellence and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
Mike helps the company and its customers by leading the organization to unprecedented revenue growth through his strategic vision, exceptional leadership, and keen understanding of the market. He possesses an ability to anticipate customer needs and deliver innovative solutions, which has solidified Nelson-Jameson’s position as an industry leader.
In his day-to-day, Mike's presence brings positive energy and buzz to the workplace, as his enthusiasm is contagious. He leads by example, fostering trust and demonstrating authenticity through his dedication. Mike’s office door is always open, making him accessible to anyone across the organization for conversations. He actively listens and considers the needs and concerns of others, aligning with Nelson-Jameson's Golden Rule values of treating customers and employees like close friends and family. He also strategically identifies and promotes leaders across departments to build executive structure and bench strength, and he initiated the company's inaugural executive retreat to clearly define the company's vision.
A lifelong dairy industry veteran with 40 years of experience, Mike began his career as a teenager studying cheesemaking at his cousin's cheese factory and milking cows on neighbors' farms. His first full-time role involved feeding dairy calves. This early passion for the dairy industry led him to progressively more senior positions across disciplines, from technical service to executive management. He chose to stay in the industry because of the people and opportunities to make a difference. Mike has experience as a cheesemaker, production supervisor, key account representative, technical problem solver, and in executive leadership.
Throughout his career, Mike has achieved significant accomplishments, including obtaining his Cheesemakers' license. He has effectively developed and managed teams, driven the company to record-breaking revenue growth, and successfully cultivated a supportive and high-performing workplace culture.
Mike serves on the board of the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association and is an active member of the International Dairy Foods Association. He is also a member of the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association. He also joined the advisory board for University of Wisconsin-Stout – Customer Experience, and joined the board of the Marshfield Health System Board of Directors – Sanford Hospitals.
