Sharon Wilson

Key Account Manager

Sharon Wilson serves as a Key Account Manager at Nelson-Jameson, where her primary objective is to act as a conduit with corporate contacts to connect sales and service efforts at the plant level for designated key customers. Her primary goal is to ensure clear communication at all levels to identify, promote, and capitalize on opportunities to grow the customer relationships and expand contacts across corporate departments. 

Sharon brings more than 25 years of professional experience in the industry. Her day-to-day functions include providing purchase data and analysis, strategically identifying and planning targeted opportunities, and coordinating services. She is also responsible for connecting customer contacts with the appropriate Nelson-Jameson and/or supplier contacts to solve customer needs.

Sharon's extensive professional history includes roles as a customer service rep, key account rep, national account manager, sales manager, and VP Sales, Marketing & Product Management. She possesses an intimate knowledge of laboratory supplies distribution and marketing, also covering items that Nelson-Jameson classifies as MRO, along with strong skills in gap analysis and the ability to focus on identified targeted opportunities. 

Her accomplishments include establishing and executing multiple Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with various multiple-location corporations. She was an integral part of the team that was awarded the All-Star Dairy Supplier of the Year in 2011 and has been recognized as a Employee of the Month multiple times. Additionally, she famously won the "Cheesehead Award" for correctly identifying 15 different cheeses at a Quality Chekd Dairies annual conference in.

A highly engaged member of the food and dairy processing community, Sharon has been an International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) member and a Dairy Practices Council (DPC) member since 2003. She served on the DPC Executive Board as the Industry Supplier Representative from 2016 to 2023 and has been a member of the QCS Purchasing Supply Partner Advisory Council since its inception. She is the Lead Author for Dairy Practices Council Guideline #112 ("Greening of the Dairy Lab") and a Contributing Author for Guideline #38 ("Identifying and Preventing Off-Flavors in Milk and Milk-Products").
