Founded in 1920, Samoset Council actively prepares young people for life with a value-based program with its code of conduct. Boy Scouts of America® Samoset Council serves over 6,000 youth within 13 counties of north-central Wisconsin by instilling timeless values of character, leadership, and citizenship through educational activities. Without compromising safety, Scouts work towards obtaining specific Merit Badges through best practices that expand their knowledge and skills. The value of scouting believes every adventure helps to uncover a little more about themselves and strengthens character through action, whether it's double tying knots, camping out, or building a derby race car. Youth and adult scouts uphold the Scout Oath and Law to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes.
The Nelson-Jameson Foundation (NJF) is focused on supporting philanthropic organizations that enhance our core value as a Golden Rule Company. Grants are targeted toward charitable programs that are related to the food and dairy industries or support charities that are important to Nelson-Jameson employees and the communities in which they reside.
