Efficiency and worker safety are equally important goals in food manufacturing facilities. And safety measures must never compromise the strict hygiene standards required to protect your consumers and your brand. Worker safety is closely tied to food safety, and utilizing high-quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential, as accidents can set off a domino effect, creating risks to consumers and brands.

The Ansell HyFlex® 11-814 multi-purpose glove is specifically engineered to meet this dual need in food processing plants. While providing the tactile control necessary for precision tasks, it incorporates features designed to maintain rigorous food safety and hygiene protocols. It is designed for longevity, efficiency, and worker safety, making it ideal for general handling applications in food processing environments.

Food Safety First: Compliance and contamination control

We know that products that enhance compliance and reduce the risk of foreign material contamination are non-negotiable. The HyFlex 11-814 incorporates several features specifically suited for hygiene-sensitive environments and is certified for the Food Industry:

  • Certified skin safety: The glove is dermatologically tested, confirmed to be free from harmful substances, and each pair is post-washed for clean, skin-safe wear. It is also Latex-Free and Silicone-Free.
  • Launderability: To support rigorous cleaning protocols, the 11-814 can withstand 3 washing cycles at 40 °C (104 °F).
  • Improved compliance through touchscreen compatibility: The glove's design includes touchscreen compatibility. This feature minimizes the need for glove removal during shifts, which helps improve worker compliance with safety regulations and reduces the potential for hands to be exposed to contaminants before touching the food product or equipment again.

Redefining precision with AEROFIT™ Technology

The foundation of the HyFlex 11-814's performance is its AEROFIT Technology, which enhances control and tactility. In food processing, precision work and improved fingertip control are vital for reducing product damage or handling errors that could lead to contamination or waste.

  • Ultra-thin coating: The glove features an innovative, flexible foam nitrile coating that is up to 30% thinner* than standard Ansell gloves with the same level of protection. This results in outstanding control and heightened fingertip sensitivity.
  • Productivity-enhancing design: The second-skin design, engineered with AEROFIT Technology, delivers improved tactility, sensitivity, and a comfortable, breathable feel. Testing has shown that users wearing HyFlex safety gloves with AEROFIT Technology completed precision tasks faster than when using comparable gloves on the market. This capability enables faster, more precise work.

Premium comfort for all-day wear

A comfortable, contoured fit ensures breathability and comfort for all-day wear. The 11-814 is Ansell's thinnest nitrile multi-purpose glove, engineered for premium comfort, which is key to ensuring consistent glove usage and worker compliance throughout long shifts.

  • Construction details: It uses a highly breathable 18-gauge liner made of Nylon and Spandex, and features a knitted, palm-coated finish
  • Sizes: Available in a wide range of sizes, from 5 through 12

Reliable protection for general handling

While the HyFlex 11-814 is primarily a multi-purpose glove focused on tactility and not high cut-resistance, it still provides reliable protection for general tasks. It meets ANSI/ISEA 105-2024 standards, offering an A1 cut resistance rating, along with abrasion level 3 and puncture level 2 protection.

Here are just some of the recommended tasks that this glove is suited for in food manufacturing facilities:

  • Assembly of small parts
  • Equipment repair & maintenance
  • Assembling and mounting components
  • Adjusting systems and screwing

Color-Coded Training & Site Assessment

Recognize and address possible hygiene and sanitation challenges based on the cleaning and material handling equipment available in your facility.

Through a discovery call, virtual, or on-site assessment, Vikan SQF Practitioner certified specialists will assist in confirming that your system and cleaning tool inventory aligns with your risk management objectives while pinpointing any missing tools and enhancing maintenance and usage practices. Evaluate whether your existing tools are utilized in the most effective manner, or determine if a more suitable tool exists for the task at hand. Ensure that your tools comply with all relevant standards and regulatory requirements. Site evaluations encompass a summary survey, an overview of the location, a color-coded factory layout plan, product suggestions, a recommended order form, and a proposal for a follow-up survey.
