Gloves can force a choice between comfort and protection. But compliance, efficiency in usage, and worker safety are equally important goals in food manufacturing facilities. Safety measures shouldn’t compromise comfort or the strict hygiene standards required to protect your consumers and your brand.

The AlphaTec® 58-835 glove line meets these demands by combining chemical protection with high-level cut resistance. This protective gear is specifically designed for demanding applications involving chemical hazards and sharp edges, providing the necessary durability to manage plant challenges while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Harm-free food handling and compliance

We know that products that enhance compliance and reduce risk are non-negotiable. The AlphaTec 58-835 incorporates features specifically suited for safety-sensitive environments:

  • Regulatory compliance: These gloves comply with EU and FDA food handling regulations, ensuring they are suitable for harm-free food handling.
  • Specialized chemical protection: The nitrile shell barrier offers Type A resistance against common chemicals, protecting workers from exposure during handling applications or cleaning tasks.
  • Enhanced safety warnings: A key safety feature is the orange visible inner liner. It acts as an indicator that reveals itself when the shell is compromised, effectively warning users to replace the glove immediately to maintain safety standards.

Heightened defenses and tightened grip

While built for protection, the AlphaTec 58-835 prioritizes the dexterity and control necessary for complex tasks. The design enables a secure grip even in difficult conditions.

  • Superior cut resistance: The INTERCEPT™ Cut Resistance Technology liner ensures high-level protection, achieving ANSI/ISEA 105-2024 CUT A6 and EN ISO CUT F protection. This is critical for applications involving handling metal sheets, sharp parts, or broken glassware.
  • Control in wet conditions: The nitrile shell is treated with ANSELL GRIP™ technology, which delivers a better grip for handling both wet and oily components, ensuring workers can maintain productivity without slipping.

Elevated comfort and optimized durability

In processing environments, PPE must be tough enough to withstand abrasion while remaining comfortable enough for long shifts.

  • Maximum durability: The gloves are designed for longer wear, achieving ANSI/ISEA 105-2024 ABRASION LEVEL 5 and EN ABRASION LEVEL 4 resistance.
  • Comfort and dexterity: By utilizing higher gauge yarns and an increased use of HPPE (High-Performance Polyethylene), these gloves lead to a dramatic increase in comfort, tactility, and dexterity, allowing for precise movements.

Color-Coded Training & Site Assessment

Recognize and address possible hygiene and sanitation challenges based on the cleaning and material handling equipment available in your facility.

Through a discovery call, virtual, or on-site assessment, Vikan SQF Practitioner certified specialists will assist in confirming that your system and cleaning tool inventory aligns with your risk management objectives while pinpointing any missing tools and enhancing maintenance and usage practices. Evaluate whether your existing tools are utilized in the most effective manner, or determine if a more suitable tool exists for the task at hand. Ensure that your tools comply with all relevant standards and regulatory requirements. Site evaluations encompass a summary survey, an overview of the location, a color-coded factory layout plan, product suggestions, a recommended order form, and a proposal for a follow-up survey.
