Hygienic design & food safety

Food manufacturing facilities have unique needs. The Bronco is designed to help maintain the highest food safety standards.

  • Certified for Food Contact: The containers are made from food-grade polyethylene and are NSF 2 and NSF 21 certified, making them suitable for storing and separating various food products. They are also USDA-approved. The available locking, press-pull lids are also certified and designed to prevent water from collecting on top.
  • Promotes Organization: A well-ordered work area with a clear focus on food safety makes a positive impression on auditors, customers, and visitors. The Bronco™ container helps promote organization in the workplace.

A part of food manufacturers’ color-coding programs

Food safety is a primary and ongoing priority for manufacturers. As we have written, a well-implemented color-coding system is a simple, powerful tool for preventing the cross-contamination of allergens and foodborne pathogens that can lead to costly product recalls. By assigning specific colors to different areas or applications, you can ensure that tools like the Sparta Bronco container stay within their designated zones, doing only the jobs they are intended for.

The Bronco container is easy to incorporate into any color-coding program. It is available in a wide array of colors—including white, red, yellow, blue, green, gray, brown, black, orange, pink, and purple—and comes in multiple sizes ranging from 10 to 55 gallons. This allows you to easily integrate these containers into your facility's existing color-zoning plan to help minimize risk.

Discover the advantages of using color-coding

Implementing a color-coding system is a key part of regulatory compliance and a commitment to food safety. By implementing color-coded tools like the Bronco, your facility can:

  • Minimize Cross-Contamination: Reduce the risk of contamination from microorganisms and allergens by separating processes and zones.
  • Improve Efficiency: Ensure equipment is easy to locate and always in the correct place.
  • Enhance Communication: A color-based system is easy for all employees to understand, regardless of language skills.

Color-Coded Training & Site Assessment

Recognize and address possible hygiene and sanitation challenges based on the cleaning and material handling equipment available in your facility.

Through a discovery call, virtual, or on-site assessment, Vikan SQF Practitioner certified specialists will assist in confirming that your system and cleaning tool inventory aligns with your risk management objectives while pinpointing any missing tools and enhancing maintenance and usage practices. Evaluate whether your existing tools are utilized in the most effective manner, or determine if a more suitable tool exists for the task at hand. Ensure that your tools comply with all relevant standards and regulatory requirements. Site evaluations encompass a summary survey, an overview of the location, a color-coded factory layout plan, product suggestions, a recommended order form, and a proposal for a follow-up survey.
